Birth of MOAC

Welcome to the MOAC site.  The place where the Masters of All Conditions meet.

MOAC was born many years ago during an epic Utah winter when an aspiring skier despaired: “I can’t ski on ice…on bumps… in this total whiteout…in powder this deep…in snow this thick…it’s cold…it’s raining”.

And MOM (the Mother of MOAC) said: “Skiing is FUN. You must strive be the Master  Of All Conditions,  my padawan learner.”

And from that cosmic insight MOAC was born.

Today the members of MOAC may be found haunting the parking lots of any ski resort. You know, the ones you see there every day–but never on weekends. Their cars may not be new but they’ll all handle the snow. Their clothes may not be stylish but they all have at least five pairs of skis. Every day striving to master whatever conditions the great karma ski gods create………………………..

Unfortunately, much time has passed, and MOAC has come to mean a highly disorganized geriatric ski gang that self-importantly still has the fantasy that they are “Masters of all Conditions.”   In fact they have become a delusional group of elderly misfits, outlaws, rogues, rascals, ruffians and renegades that most normal people would eschew.

MOAC now stands for: “Moaning Over Adverse Conditions.”

And the new motto is:  “No See, No Ski.”

    Well, that was weird.

19/20 will not be remembered as being a great one. I do, however, have vast archives… and I am far from done. I’ll be back!

    WOW!

Very delinquent reporting here… (powder tends to do that), a huge storm has laid down a great base for us this early season. Here are just some of the pics from the Thanksgiving weekend. Thanks Ullr!
